Natural Bridge State Park
In 2023, we found ourselves making two overnight pit stops in Natural Bridge, VA, during our road trip to Tishomingo, MS, for a fifth wheel tune-up. The place intrigued us so much we knew we had to return and spend some quality time exploring its wonders—especially the Natural Bridge!
Our adventure began at the state park visitors center, where we headed out on the Cedar Creek Trail. The journey kicked off with a short 0.1-mile stroll down 137 steps—adventure is just another word for cardio, right? Another 0.1 miles and we were face-to-face with the magnificent bridge. It didn’t end there; the trail lured us further along an 0.8-mile walk to the charming Lace Falls.
As with all good adventures, we had to trek back the 1 mile, ending with everyone’s favorite: a stair workout! Thankfully, there were plenty of spots to stop, catch our breath, and snap a few photos while pretending to admire the scenery.
The Natural Bridge? Absolutely jaw-dropping! It’s mind-boggling to think that U.S. Route 11 cruises right over this colossal stone marvel.
